I find beauty in everyday life and I love documenting events. That’s why I am a lifestyle photographer. Lifestyle photography captures portraits of people in real-life environments in an artistic manner. I don’t use props or artificial lighting. I use skills in directing and posing to create timeless photographs. I strongly believe that photographs are meant to be printed and put up on a wall; they don’t belong with the thousands of other pictures living inside our phones.
I have a master’s degree in education with a concentration in social justice. I have also studied film, editing, and directing. Photography was once a hobby that has evolved into a career. I’m always learning and looking for ways to improve my skills and take classes on a regular basis. I believe that today is the perfect time to work toward a dream!
I’m a mother of two small children. Motherhood has challenged me in ways I never thought possible, and at the same time has given me a deep appreciation for life. I am strong because I am a mother. I am drawn to photographing mothers because I find them to be incredible humans that get little credit for their work and sacrifice. I want to capture their strength and beauty so that they’re reminded of their worth.
